Face Your Fear

Aug 5, 2018    Matt Santen

This message kicks off a new series focused on what it means for the church to share the gospel with boldness and compassion. Rooted in Luke 15, the sermon highlights God's heart for the lost through the stories of a shepherd seeking a lost sheep, a woman searching for a lost coin, and a father waiting for his lost son. These parables show us that every person matters to God, and that heaven celebrates when even one sinner repents. The message addresses the fears and doubts many of us feel when it comes to sharing our faith—fear of rejection, not knowing what to say, or feeling unqualified. But we’re reminded that changing hearts is God’s job, not ours. Our role is simply to love, listen, and tell the story of Jesus. Because eternity matters, and the people around us—those who know they’re lost and those who don’t—are worth the risk.
