Fear
In this message from the What Keeps You Up at Night? series, the focus is on fear—both the irrational kind that lives in our heads and the very real kind that keeps us awake at night. Through the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4, we’re reminded that storms are a normal part of life, but we often forget who’s in our boat. The disciples panicked because they didn’t fully trust Jesus, even after all they had seen Him do. In the same way, we can know about Jesus but still struggle to trust Him when life gets hard. The message challenges us to recognize that fear and trust are deeply connected—and we can’t truly face our fears unless we believe that Jesus is present, powerful, and for us. When we know who’s with us and trust Him fully, even our biggest fears start to lose their grip.
