Level 3
This message from the Level Up series challenges us to consider where we are in our spiritual journey—and whether we’re truly allowing God to transform us. Using Paul’s vivid image of honorable and dishonorable vessels in 2 Timothy, we’re invited to reflect on the parts of our lives that are still holding garbage, and the areas where God wants to make us clean, holy, and useful. The sermon creatively parallels this process of transformation with the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly—highlighting that sanctification is a slow, often uncomfortable journey, but one that leads to real freedom and purpose. We’re called to flee old habits and lies, pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, and trust that God is making something beautiful out of us. Ultimately, we’re reminded that this new life is only possible because of Jesus—and that communion is a moment to remember that we’ve been made for so much more.
